The color of your bulb: a choice to take into account
The "K" indication on the light bulb packaging does not really keep your attention? And yet you should! The color of your bulb, which is in the bluish-white or in the yellow-orange will influence your feeling...
The color of the bulb, or the Kelvin value
The color temperature represents the hue of a light source and is expressed in degrees Kelvin (° K). With today's LED bulbs that emit a much better color rendition, we have the choice of the shade of white, the general color of the bulbs, for our light sources.
The degree Kelvin (° K) makes it possible to measure the color of the light perceived by the human eye. It is used to measure what is called the color temperature. The color temperature indicates whether an LED bulb will give a warm or cold light. Simply put, the lower the color temperature, the more light is yellow-orange. When the color temperature is high, the tone of the light is bluish.
The hot-colored temperatures of "warm white" are between 2700 and 3300 Kelvin. As for cold color temperatures also called "cold white", they reach values exceeding 5,300 Kelvin. Neutral or "neutral white" colors are characterized by temperatures between 3300 and 5300 Kelvin approximately.
